Überlingen Municipal Art Gallery
The Municipal Art Gallery is located directly on the water front of Lake Constance, in a former ballroom from the 19th century. The Gallery's exhibition rooms, adjacent to the hall, are situated in a patrician's house from the late middle ages. The serene and charming atmosphere of this air-conditioned space turns every visit to the „Lazy Fur“ („Fauler Pelz“), as the gallery building is called in the vernacular, into a special experience.
The city of Überlingen, together with other renowned regional cultural institutions, show temporary exhibitions in this space, representing all genres of historic and contemporary art.
The so-called Summer Exhibitions, organized by the Municipal Department of Culture, regularly attract national and international attention.
